Overview

With summer weather within reach, our Cliffs of Moher & Boat Cruise tour is a popular choice.

In the morning look forward to experiencing Cliffs of Moher from 700ft above the broad Atlantic Ocean with Skip the line access to Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre.

In early- afternoon, the tour will regroup and your driver will take you over to the nearby village of Doolin.

Doolin's most modern sailing fleet is ready to take you on an exciting, relaxing cruise (optional) out into the bay to see Cliffs of Moher from the water.

Those who change their mind and opt to stay on dry land can enjoy time at leisure in Doolin village instead to stroll, od some window shopping and maybe enjoy a relaxing pint in one of the local pubs (or a refreshing pot of tea or coffee).

The tour will reassemble dockside at Doolin Pier by mid- afternoon for the return journey to Dublin. Your driver will take an efficient yet scenic route back to the capital in good time for refreshments and dinner arrangements.

The tour drops right downtown by 18:30 approx - leaving ample time this evening to freshen up and enjoy all of the wonderful restaurant and pub options the Temple Bar and Grafton Street districts have to offer.

With a free cancellation option up to 24 hours before departure you can pre- book with confidence. Lock in your seats (any date for Spring / Summer 2024) at the early bird rate today.

Pick-up Points

  • 06:00 am - 33 College Green - (Ulster Bank)

Itinerary

  • Depart Central Dublin

Join the downtown departure point (see booking calendar for details). The collection location could not be more convenient for this early morning departure.

This route is packing a little more into the day than most Cliffs of Moher tour itineraries, so we're on the road bright and early to get a head start on the day.

Recline into the comfortable seats of your touring coach and watch the world go by, Irish style.
  • Cliffs of Moher from above (entrance included)

All going smoothly, we expect to reach Cliffs of Moher by mid- morning.

Enjoy ample time at leisure at this massively popular natural attraction.

Perhaps go for a stroll or short hike along the coastal paths or simply relax close to the main visitor centre with viewing platforms and telescopes offering incredible views from different vantage points.

There is an abundance of local wildlife to look out for from the colonies of puffins nesting on the cliff face to pods of dolphins and whales breaching far below.

At 700ft above the surface of the ocean, the cliffs are two thirds the height of Manhattan's Empire State.

Clear days give amazing views of the cliffs to the south, Aran Islands to the west and Galway Bay and mountain ranges of Connemara to the north. See those tiny objects on the water below? Those are the yachts upon which you'll have the chance to sail after lunch!

EUR 10.00 entrance fee is included to Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre in the price of this tour
  • Doolin Village

Those who choose to stay on dry land can look forward to spending some time at leisure in Doolin Village with its charmings shops, cafes, restaurants and famous pubs such as McGann's and O'Connor's.
  • Cliffs of Moher Boat Cruise (optional)

As the tour arrives into Doolin we'll first stop off at Doolin Pier and introduce you to the skippers of the best local operators and your cruise will push back from the pier as soon as all passengers are aboard.

The boat cruise gives you a completely different perspective of the Cliffs of Moher but is also an exciting experience itself. Hear the motors hum, the seagulls cry and the mighty Atlantic roar against the monumental edge of western Europe.

Just across Galway Bay are the Aran Islands of Inis Mór (big island), Inis Meain (medium island) and Inis Oirr (small island) - can you tell which is which!?

We were lucky to experience the pilot of a Dublin to JFK flight roll his Airbus to show off the cliffs on a clear day at 30,000 feet - quite a sight to behold. Equally, looking up and seeing the myriad trails of transatlantic flights against the blue summer sky is incredible - nature at this scale is amazing.

NB: we have left the Boat Cruise optional so that all passengers can make up their mind whether or not to take part on the day- taking weather and how you are feeling into account. Due to our strong relationships with local operators, there will be space for anyone who wishes to participate and you can pay dockside on the day. Prices from children to students, seniors and adults range from EUR 15.00 - EUR 28.00
  • Return to Dublin

The boats will arrive back at Doolin Pier after 45 minutes approx and the tour will reassemble for the return journey. Your driver will take you back to Dublin as swiftly as possible by freeway through rolling Irish countryside.

Enjoy the free wifi and USB ports as you relax and share impressions of your day with friends and family.

You'll be back downtown by 18:30 approx. in good time to enjoy the full range of pub and restaurants around Grafton Street, Temple Bar and beyond.

We hope you have enjoyed your visit to the west coast including Cliffs of Moher and optional Boat Cruise.
